Being healthy is our best defence against COVID-19.
The Township of Georgian Bay hosts two Food Banks. These are located in MacTier and in Port Severn/Honey Harbour and are supported by local residents and the Baxter Ward Lions Club .
During COVID-19 we are seeing incremental growth and need for Food Banks.
The time is now to stock our shelves.
Our residents support tourism, travel and those that wish to enjoy Georgian Bay in the (mostly) warmer weather. This community is at a stand still as marinas, tourism operators, hotels, motels, and all things travel have been deemed non-essential.
This fund will help ensure that residents who may be struggling with the change in movement in our area, will have access to food that is safe, healthy and supports their ability to stay strong during this pandemic.
Everyone is welcome at our Food Banks. Nobody in our Township will be turned away.
Thank you for supporting these Food Banks. Your contribution will help ensure the shelves, fridges and freezers have stocked with healthy choices for residents in our communities.
