MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEFS
Our land claim is a process that has seen many Chiefs and members of Council involved in the file. From Chief James Mason, Chief Ralph Akiwenzie, to Chief Randall Kahgee and Chief Vern Roote and others who have kept up the fight for many years, it has been a long process getting our claim to trial. Our young people can learn from the commitment of these Chiefs. Our cultural identity is the foundation that keeps the Anishnabe people strong and we must retain our language or we will lose our cultural identity and strength. It's been my privilege to have had the opportunity to serve with most of these Chiefs and look forward to settling our land claim.
